He was found locked in the bedroom of his London apartment. A coroner’s inquest found he died of an overdose of the sleeping pill Carbitrol. The death is ruled accidental and the Maharishi tells the Beatles that Epstein’s death, being in the realm of the physical world, is "not important."1990: Stevie Ray Vaughn and three members of Eric Clapton’s band are killed in a helicopter crash in Wisconsin.
